The problem, even aside from the price tag, is that I'm the only one in the
house who even halfway likes lobster. I'm not the world's biggest fan, but
it's OK once in a blue moon.  I wouldn't be about to pay $50 for the
priviledge. My father didn't like seafood at all, and my mother prefers
stuff with scales.  Too many Jewish neighbors growing up or something....

Some indecent-sounding prime steaks come to mind.  We did a loin roast of
lamb for Mother's Day, which was probably less of a slurge than the lobbie,
even if it did end up costing a small fortune.  That came from Hall's
Market in West Hartford - a butcher shop with a small grocery attached.

Foot long claws... these days they'd be testing the sucker for abusing
steroids!
