This prompted me to dig out an old (I am an old phart, remember) grading 
sheet that I somehow managed to preserve all these years. My memory was 
a bit off - Apparently to get an "A" took 92% or better, 82 to 91% 
gathered a B, 70 to 81% was good for a C and 60 or under was failing.

Some teachers further divided the letter grade ranges into thirds with 
plus and minus added to the letter ... depending on where in the range 
the score fell.

And we had one who never gave a 100 - even if every answer was correct. 
Theory being no one is perfect. It was suggested that she might be 
happier teaching religious students down at Our Lady of Perpetual PMS or 
something.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Southeast Asian Beef Salad With Lemon Vinaigrette
 Categories: Oriental, Beef, Salads, Citrus
      Yield: 3 servings
 
      3 tb Asian fish sauce
      3 tb Fresh lemon juice (from
           - about 2 lemons)
      3 tb Water
      3 tb Vegetable oil
  1 1/2 ts Sugar
      2    Shallots, minced
      2    Hearts of romaine lettuce
           - (about 1 pound total),
           - chopped, any very dark ends
           - discarded
    1/2 lb Roast beef; sliced 1/8"
           - thick, in 2" strips
  1 1/2 c  Loose pack mint leaves
      8    Radishes; sliced
    1/4 c  Roasted salted peanuts
 
  The salad is perfect as a light dinner for two or as an appetizer for
  4.
  
  Whisk together the fish sauce, lemon juice, water and vegetable oil.
  Add the sugar and whisk until it dissolves. Stir in the shallots.
  
  Place the romaine, roast beef, mint, radishes and peanuts in a large
  bowl and toss with the dressing.
  
  Serves 2-4
