If the efforts to contain the kudzu (which you might know as kuzu)
worked, we'd then be overrun with goats. And goats fight you in
real time, which kudzu does not. Of course, goats are semi-palatable,
so that's a plus.

 Anything which

 GJ> going for it, either as a food source, or as a fuel feed stock.

It could certainly be made into ethanol, which I would heartily
embrace.

The terrifying thing about it is that it grows SO fast in the
100F and 100% humidity of the US south.

Only at this strange Chinese restaurant in Wellington that my
friend Jeff took us to because it had Monday two-for-one. They
were pretty decent.

Carol pointed it out briefly to me, but it held no interest. In
retrospect I should have thought on the possibility of kiwi balut.


MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.00

      Title: Baked Bay Scallops
 Categories: Seafood, Restaurants
      Yield: 4 servings

      2    Sticks butter, room temp
      1 c  Fresh bread crumbs
      6 cl Garlic, crushed
      2 T  Onion,  minced
    1/2 c  Parsley, chpd
    1/4 c  White wine OR sherry
           Juice of 1/2 lemon
           Salt and pepper
      2 T  Oil
      2 T  Onion, diced
  1 1/2 lb Fresh bay scallops
    1/2 lb Mushrooms, sliced

  Kingston Harbour Yacht Club, Mt. Prospect, IL ** "Garlic, garlic, garlic
  describes the scallops served at the KHYC....crisp, buttery morsels..." Mix
  together butter, breadcrumbs, garlic, minced onion, parsley, wine, lemon
  juice, and salt and pepper to taste. Form into roll and wrap with waxed
  paper. Chill until firm, at least 1 hr. Preheat oven 450 F. Grease shallow
  baking dish. Heat oil in lg skillet over med heat until haze forms. Add
  diced onion and saute until soft but not browned. Add scallops and
  mushrooms and salt and pepper to taste and saute briefly. Drain off liquid.
  Arrange scallop mixture in prepared dish. Slice garlic butter and arrange
  evenly over scallops. Bake until butter is hot and bubbly, 5-10 mins. Serve
  immediately.

  Scallops can also be broiled. Place about 3" from heat and broil until
  bubbly, 3-5 mins. Source: Fav Rest Rs, Bon A

  M's note: where one would find bay scallops or a harbor or a
  yacht club in Mt. Prospect IL is anyone's guess.
