When we went down to visit this past summer, I 
took a little cookbook that I found (the BIG 
Little Book of easy recipes) and made it a "gift" 
for the grad student housing kitchen...it has been 
very well received, and several of the grad
students have mentioned that they've 
made dishes from it that have become
"favorites"! Amanda has been using it 
as well and she's expanding her 
menu list (grin) she loves making bread 
from scratch and has been doing 
a lot of that lately!

"Cookies from Home" are ALWAYS well received in the military! Even 
if home is only a few minutes away!

We usually limit ourselves to a couple of 
very specific cookies that we enjoy making
and enjoy sharing. I have the ingredients for 
the cookies Ruth posted and will make them
tomorrow (most likely) or tonight if I feel the 
urge! If they really hit the "spot" then I may
make another batch when it's give out time!

-> I'd still rather get them done the night before.  Had to be out early

Most of the time I do them pretty much as I cook and 
right after we eat. But laziness is a gift I sometimes
give myself when it comes to kitchen work! (grin)
Not as often as I'd like, but sometimes anyway!
