  Sounds interesting -- we have had a lot more exposure to Tex-Mex than

  There is always something new to try.   Since you have already
  mentioned two different ethnic types of food, may I recommend to you
  two books that would expose you to others -- as well as reading a
  little bit about the other cultures through their foods.  One book is
  called "Sundays at Moosewood".   It has many vegetarian recipes that
  are interesting even to us carnivores.   The other book is "The Frugal
  Gourmet on Our Immigrant Ancestors" by Jeff Smith.

  I don't know MicroCook, and so don't know how easy it is to import
  other recipes into its data base.   MealMaster can do that -- but as
  Joan said to you, it is a bit picky about importing recipes that do
  not fit its idea of standard format.

   Curious -- try again, because I tried that last night by clicking on
   the URL in your message, and it worked.   You can download a PDF
   version of the manual for free also from there.  He has a number of
   interesting links to other info and recipe sites.

   I wonder, is the recipe below really Mexican?  Or is it more Tex-Mex?

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.05
 
      Title: Mexican Meatloaf - Hunt Wesson
 Categories: Meat, Main dish
      Yield: 8 Servings
 
      2 lb Ground beef
      2 cn (8-oz) Hunt's Tomato Sauce
      1 cn (7-oz) Mexican-style whole
           -kernal corn, drained
      1 c  Finely crushed corn chips
    1/2 c  Onion; chopped
    1/2 c  Green olives with stuffed
           -pimientos; sliced
      1 cn (4-oz) green chiles; diced
      2    Eggs; lightly beaten
      1 tb Chili powder
      1 ts Garlic salt
    1/4 ts Ground cumin
 
  In large bowl, mix beef, 1 can tomato sauce, corn chips, corn, onions,
  olives, green chiles, eggs, 1/2 Tb chili powder, 1/2 ts garlic salt
  and 1/8 ts cumin; blend well.  Firmly pack meat mixture into
  8x4x3-inch loaf pan.  Bake at 375 degree F oven for 1 hour; drain.
  Meanwhile, combine remaining tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic salt
  and onion; set aside. Pour tomato sauce mixture over top of meat
  loaf; bake 7 minutes longer. Let loaf stand 10 minutes before slicing.
