I'm not looking for revenue, that's for sure.  In fact, in the licensing of my
BBS door and sysop utility software, it specifically forbids the use of my
programs on a pay BBS.  I believe that BBSing is a hobby and not a paying
interest.

I'm not really too ambitious as you've explained.  I seem to be attracting more
and more users by word of mouth and by talking about it on here.  To be honest,
I'd much rather have a small userbase of folks like who are in this echo than a
whole bunch of no-name people that I don't know scattered about.  Thankfully,
save for a few small things, the board is basically where I want it now.  Just
need to add some shareware CDs to the filebase, work on the menus a bit and get
some background processes finished and running (nightly ALLFILES generation,
maintenance).  Other than that, I'm happy with it.

But it was and still is very pleasant for me to pop on to the board and see a
message from one of the COOKING echo denizens.  Everyone of them I toggle
permanent since I know they won't always be on all the time.  I'm happy to
provide a small service.  This is nothing new for me-according to the Federal
government, amateur radio is a public service as well as a hobby.  My BBS is a
labor of love that I'm happy to share with people.

Now that I've rambled on about my BBS... :)

I do enjoy spicy food.  It's my medications that cause problems (and the
occasional aggrivated ulcer).  I just have to be very, very careful when and
what I eat.  I really shouldn't eat after 8 PM at all or else I pay for it very
dearly.

Sure thing.  I'll be on and off here during the week.  Tonight, our town is
having their fireworks (I don't know why), but we're going out to get some
fireworks for the 4th (small fireworks are legal here in TN).  We'll probably
be over at my parents' for the 4th.
