obviously that simulation didn't WAD (word as desired OR work as designed)...
ya gotta mix'em in a glass and then taste it...

haha, i hear ya... it is just a different type of drink... i've saved the
related recipe in my drinks database as i do many of them... that one looks to
be pretty close to what folk were describing back in my AF days but we didn't
have all the ingredients available at the airman's club so we made do with what
we had ;)

here's a nice drink that is well consumed in our area... it is very simple but
sometimes one just has to embellish on it O:)

      Title: Terry's White Russian
 Categories: Alcohol, Booze, Beverages
      Yield: 1 Beverage
 
   1.50 fl Kahlua
   1.50 fl Vodka
   3.75 fl Milk
           Ice
 
    Note: 1 shot is 1 fluid ounce
  :       1 jigger is 1.5 fluid ounces
  
  :       This recipe is very easy when you use a shot glass
  :       or a jigger glass. Be warned that many a so called
  :       "shot glass" is actually a jigger glass!
  
  Method: pour 1 jigger of kahlua into a glass.
  :       pour 1 jigger of vodka into the glass.
  :       pour 2.5 jiggers of milk into the glass.
  :       add ice to completely fill the glass.
  :       pour mixture back and forth with another glass to mix.
  
  Whatever your measuring tool, it is the ratios of liquor:liquor:milk
  that are important. 1 part kahlua, 1 part vodka and 2.5 parts milk.
  
  The commercial ice in our area comes in several styles or shapes.
  There's the standard "crushed ice", broken ice sheets (chunks of flat
  ice), and then there's "tube ice" which is our favorite. We like to
  use the tube ice because it tends to make the drink nice and cold
  without going to a slushy type consistancy. You can also get more of
  it than the sheet ice into the glass.
  
  There are many ways to "abuse" the White Russian style of drink. This
  is our "Carolina Country" way. Some might use some vanilla ice cream
  with a reduced amount of milk. Others might use a drop of vanilla
  flavoring. Still others will take the mixture, with or without ice
  cream, and put it in a blender for that slushy type format. We just
  like our's made as described. Oh, and don't forget the straw and lid
  for protection against droppage and spillage. For "longer lasting"
  beverages, we use a nice styrofoam cup which helps keep the drink
  nice and cold.
  
  [Aside: We also use 2% milk but most any of the true dairy milks will
  work. The amount of cream (aka fat) in the milk will change the taste
  of the drink a bit. 2% milk is nice for us whereas whole milk seems
  very "rich"]
  
  Warning: The first one is generally gone within 30 minutes. The
  following ones may last up to an hour depending on current activities
  :)
