I once heard Neekha telling a friend that if she didn't smarten up that
I would give her a time out.... in a small dark closet.... for twenty
years.... with only bread and water to eat.... and rats to play with.
The girl didn't believe her but did improve her behavior... just in
case.

We had Neekha out to an upscale place again recently. She loves being in
adult surroundings, being treated equally to adults and she behaved
perfectly. It was Roslind's birthday and we had dinner with all the
family who could make it: one of Roslind's sisters, her grandson, Raine,
Ray, and Chloe (Ray's girl friend's daughter who will become my newest
granddaughter on July 22). The waitress remembered Neekha from previous
visits as she ordered and finished an order of pasta and gorgonzola
sauce when she was four. The owner/head chef came out to say hello to
her when he heard she was in the house. He still fondly remembers her
saying, "your chicken fingers are much better than McDonald's nuggets
but then you use real chicken and you're a real cook". She's the only
young kid who has ever comes to this steakhouse-lounge and she is
perhaps one of the few that Sato would allow in there.
