Yepper. Finally. Had I not seen the inquiry here I'd not have known to 
sift through the sewer that my old e-mail address has become. But, there 
it was ... swimming down with the penis enlargement ads, breast 
enhancement offers, PayPal account verification phishes, Nigerian 
bankers wanting to give me much cash, low rate refinancing on a house I 
don't own, etc.

My current (main) email is dirty_dave at chillicooks (note the correct

Doc is pleased that I have lost 25# in two months. He's still on about 
getting me on cholesterol meds, though. I have a total cholesterol of 
172 ... and I told him I refuse to kill my liver with statins. So he 
gave me a script and a sample of a Pfizer product called Caduet. 
Apparently he doesn't think I can read or do research. Each tablet 
contains amlodipine besylate (Norvasc) equivalent to a 5mg dose - which 
I have taken before - and atorvstatin calcium equivalent to 10mg 
atorvstatin ... which is the freaking Lipitor I told him I would not 
take. I'll be so glad when I turn 65 and have a medicare card so I can 
quit this low-rent clinic.

The more I see of other's medical woes the more blessed I realise that I 
am ... even if I do have to self-medicate from the smorgasbord of 
prescriptions the Edgard Cumpa MD presents me with.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Texas-Style Chilli (Texas Cooking)
 Categories: Beef, Chilies, Stews
      Yield: 12 servings
 
     10 lb Chuck blade steak
      1 c  Vegetable oil
      3 lg Onions, chopped
      9 md Green bell peppers, chopped
      3 lb Ripe tomatoes, peeled and
           -chopped
     15 cl Garlic; minced
     18 oz Tomato paste
      1 c  Chilli powder
    1/4 c  Sugar
      2 tb Salt
      2 tb Oregano
      2 tb Ground black pepper
 
  Cut steak into 1/2-inch cubes.
  
  In a very large skillet or Dutch oven, brown the meat in
  oil in large pot, remove to a bowl and set aside.
  
  Add onions, peppers and garlic to drippings in pan over
  medium heat. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  Add more oil if necessary.
  
  Return the meat to the pan, and add tomatoes and their
  liquid and the remaining ingredients. Heat to boiling.
  Reduce heat to low, cover and simmer 1-1/2 hours or until
  meat is fork tender, stirring occasionally.
