Nuitrition labels aren't required in other countries like they are in
the states.  Some do put then on voluntarily but you either need to know
the language or a speaker of it to decipher it.

See if your commissary carries it; DeCA keeps a pretty uniform stock of
stuff across all branches of service so you might have it and not know.

Stocking up for another trip?  Is he good about keeping a supply of
bread made?  We're using boughten bread now; it's just not the same.

But I'm abnormal in other ways; I'm a round eye (haole) blonde/brown

As I'll have the Asian influence from 5 1/2 years in Hawaii, 10 1/2 from
the Southwest (8 AZ, 2 1/2 TX), 6 in Germany and 8 (so far) in the
Southeast.  Six months in California also had a bit of an impact on my
taste buds and how I do some things now.

As you saw abve, I've lived in several major regions of the world and
they have all had an impact in the way I cook/eat. You're probably more
like that too than you realise.

Yummy--fresh produce.  My parents put in a limited garden this year; in
the latest letter from home, they were talking about what was ready for
eating or putting up.

Smart guy!  Too much for one family, enough to share without
overwhelming him getting it picked.
