Did she move much as a child?  My parents moved from Lancaster NY to
Margaretville, then 5 years and some months later to the house they're
in now.  OTOH, Steve's family moved several times before he was born,
settling into the "family home" (that he remembers growing up in) either
just before or just after he was born; I don't remember the exact date.
They sold that place to one of Steve's brothers in 1995 and moved to
Florida.

How did he feel about that?  Some kids like the adventure of moving,
others prefer the stability of one place.  I liked the stability as a
kid, probably because I didn't know better but at least I got to travel
out of the immediate area.  Now I like the travel but also being able to
stay in an area for an extended time.

You're right on that count.  I know how our parents felt now when we
were younger and our girls were growing up--so many times Steve's mom
would write to us, especially at holidays, "..........the whole family
was here except for you............."  But, she understood, and did
enjoy the visits she made or we made.

Of course, along with all the other duplicates you've made of it.  Since
it was just Steve & me, when we moved into here, we tossed all the extra
keys into one drawer and kept a set each on our key rings. He also set
aside a basic key for getting in for times when he did PT and not taken
the car to the start point.

I am so glad I don't cook like my mom--to revert to that at this stage
of my life would be hard.  But, she cooks to Dad's tastes and he's very
unadventerous in eating so........

Thanks; I'll be around the echo here for about 12 days before we cut the
feed.  If you send me your e-mail, I can send updates to you.  I do have
Dale & Michael's e-mails but from what I've read, Michael will be
working on a return to his usual self.  If I can spread e-mails out to
several people, that would be better than just one.
