Steve and Rachel are the label readers in the family.  One time while
Deborah was still at home, I had planned to go to the commissary the day
after I had a doctor's appointment.  I had a bad case of bronchitis so
he grounded me (put me on quarters) for several days which meeant
Deborah had to go with her dad as we needed some stuff.  She came home
fussing and stewing so much about her dad and his taking forever
because he had to read every can, bottle, etc he picked up that I had to
tell her to stop, as it hurt me to laugh at the (almost, he reads about
98% of them) true situation.  She, OTOH, knew what I bought regularly.

I've not been to the Hickam or K-Bay commissaries since ours is so well
stocked (over all).  Did check out the "new" PH one since it's in the
same mall as the NEX but didn't realy find anything that I couldn't get
at ours.  DeCA does a good job of keeping a basic unity from brach to
branch.  I think we'll be going over to Fort Stewart for most of our
shopping; I don't think Hunter has much of a PX or commissary.

It is easy enough; she probably knows the basics but may not quite know
proportions.

I bloomed more once I got to college.  No siblings (older or younger)
there to be compared to.

I've always used mostly chicken stock, and turkey from the ones Steve
smoked over here.  Beef is a distant 3rd place, but does get used from
time to time.

Yes, we were talking last night about hopefully finding an organic
farmer for some peaches next year.  Steve is also hoping for tomatoes
(for chili sauce and salsa) but those, depending on where we live, we
can grow our own like we did in AZ.  My canning jars are on their way to
GA. (G)
