A good thing to have so many stops on such a long drive; makes it much more
interesting ...

I can understand the "challenge" part, but not for someone with your history.

Yes, some are quite good, some less than good, and sometimes the SOP leaves a
lot to be desired, and you're the worse for it, through no fault of the doctor.

At one time, I had a suitcase with camping cookware for such occasions, and
that was very handy.
