Nothing so interesting the last time - Carol and I were booked
on a nonstop flight that was broken up without our knowing to
two separate flights, with separate numbers. Our didgeridoos
and stuff were labeled with just the earlier flight number and
so sat overnight in Los Angeles while they figured out what to
do with them. This year the airline had the good sense to tell
us beforehand that they'd changed the flights, but of course
they screwed up the reaccommodation, so I had to call them to
fix it up.

 Yes, and I have also lost nail clippers

H'm ... at some point I lost a lovely stainless-steel pen.
Forgot about that. It cost something like $5 back in the 1960s.

Okay, that calls for appropriate retaliation. Think about
"large oranges" next time you take a meal ...

KYNUTE KNEDLIKY (Raised dumplings)
cat: starch
servings: 1

1 lb flour
1 ts sugar
1/2 oz yeast
1/2 c milk, lukewarm
1 Tb salt
1 whole egg
1 egg yolk

Sift flour, add sugar, crumbled yeast and milk. Let set until yeast
bubbles up. Add salt, egg, and yolk and mix until dough is smooth.
Let dough rise. Divide into dumplings, size of large oranges, place into
pot of boiling water. Cook 10 minutes, turn over and cook another 10
minutes. Always cut raised dumplings with a string.
