Bleh!  Perhaps I should ask, though, whether all eggplants taste alike.  I ate
the large black ones as a child.  They were young and fresh from our garden,
but their flavor and custardy consistency nauseated me.  If their flavor is
overpowered by something else, then I can eat them without any problems.
