whoa! that _is_ the code that is generated by the php application running
the gallery... totally wierd! i took a look and the one file that i had to
edit was timestamped 20:00 or so... i have no time or date reference for the
header portion that is stored in the database, though... i'm pretty sure i
was done with the edits because i made them while writting that message and
had tested and saved them before saving and sending the message...

have you tried flushing your browser cache? also, what OS are you running...
i mean... i know you're on windows but is it still 98se or have you gone
further than that? i have a li'l routine that i put in my autoexec.bat on
all win98 boxes that completely deletes the "temporary internet files"
folder because IE is notorious for loosing track of what it has in there...
for example, after several years, i had occasion to be visiting my mother...
she regularly empties her IE cache and does diskcleanup before her regular
scandisk and defrag... she was showing me what she normally does when trying
to fix something that's going goofy... after her maint session, she always
reboots... on this reboot, i took over the keyboard and used LIST.COM to
access the IE cache folder only to discover that there were still over 20MEG
of "lost" files stored in it... 20MEG!! and it had supposedly just been
flushed! WTF?? so anyway... here's a recipe of a different kind ;)

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06

      Title: Clean out IE cache on reboot
 Categories: Info, Tested
      Yield: 1 Clean unit


  Add the following to your AUTOEXEC.BAT on your Win9x box to clean out
  the Temporary Internet Cache folder. This procedure has been
  developed because IE is notorious for loosing track of what is in
  this cache location. When IE is told to flush the cache, it doesn't
  get _all_ of the files. This routine _does_ get them all.

    echo cleaning up IE temporary internet cache...
    deltree /y C:\WINDOWS\TEMPOR~1\

  That's it! Just add those two lines to your AUTOEXEC.BAT and the IE
  cache will be cleaned out everytime you boot your machine. Windows or
  IE will (re)create any directories necessary for the cache.

  Be warned that it may take some time to run because there's no
  diskcache (ie: smartdrive) loaded to speed the diskaccess up...
  Deleting many megs of files can take a while. I've found no way
  (yet!) of loading smartdrive for this process and then removing it
  when done but i'm still working on it ;)

  [OPTIONAL 1] You can also add the following to clean up the system's
  TEMP folder.

    echo cleaning up temporary files folder (%temp%)...
    deltree /y %temp%/
    md %temp%

  This routine will completely delete the standard windows temp
  directory (normally C:\WINDOWS\TEMP) and everything in it. Then it
  will "manually" recreate the temp directory only. It is possible that
  some data for some poorly written application will be deleted. Be
  sure of your programs before applying this to your system. You have
  been warned.

  [OPTIONAL 2] You can add the following to clean out TMP and BAK files
  from your windows directory. The TMP files are left in there by
  poorly written applications that seemingly can't find the system TEMP
  folder. Cleaning up BAK files is just good housekeeping ;)

    echo cleaning up TMP and BAK file in C:\WINDOWS
    attrib -r c:\windows\*.bak > nul
    attrib -r c:\windows\*.tmp > nul
    del c:\windows\*.bak > nul
    del c:\windows\*.tmp > nul
