I like brown rice just fine, and "wild rice" even better.  Converted and
prefab rice is another matter.  I can't say I've ever eaten a daikon seed. 
Barley, of course, is for lamb soup (if one is Scottish) and microwaveable
heat therapy bags (if one is anything else).

Nothing shipped hard and ripened in store tastes like much, with the
exception of pineapples.
