I hear about Rachel's class with 'most every phone call. (G) Each class
has been quite different in some respects, same in others.  Last week
she visited where she taught for 2 years in AZ; even the kid she had the
most problems with was glad to see her.  She never did Flat Stanley in
her classes--4th & 5th graders just weren't into such things.  She's
teaching 3rd grade now but the curriculum is so intense that they don't
have much time for "extras" like Stanley.

-> That is good!  We had to hop a red eye from Honolulu on 05 to get to AZ.
-> But, David got tickets for the 3 of them to come east for spring break;

Not that you've ever had to go down for an emergency, but still nice to
know.

-> Cheese & crackers, plus plenty of liquids and antibiotics for me for New

The usual problem of asthmatics--bronchitis.  Fluctuating weather, more
so than we're used to, hit both of us hard.  Steve had a head cold that
almost went into a sinus infection; he's still coughing a bit every now
& then.  But, we both felt decent enough to get our sinuses cleared out
at an Indian restaurant last night. (G)I had an onion rava masala with a
mango lassie and Steve had the special rava masala (with several chili
peppers) and mango lassie.  VERY good and very filling!  This place is a
vegetarian one, specialising in southern Indian food.  While we were
there, several Indian families came in for meals also. There's a non
vegetarian Indian place not that far away so it's good to see the city
can support 2 places.  We'd set out to go to the Korean place but they
were closed so................

 hn> I did! We just got back from driving her down to Portland Oregon to
 hn> catch a flight back to Sacramento, so we are "just the two of us
 hn> again" and while I love my little girl, it's nice to have the house to
 hn> ourselves again (grin)

I know; Steve went back to work on the regular schedule today.  He'd
been off since last Friday.

 hn> Anne goes back tomorrow....and I go back to my chores and errands

I'm sort of back to my regular stuff.  Not quite as much as usual,
trying not to tire myself out so a lot of rest in between short spurts
of work.
