Ichiro is still the fan's darling of the team. He
can do no wrong, and if he's hitting a little bit
less, it must be someone else's fault. He does 
have an amazing work ethic though and it's 
awe inspiring to see him out on the field well
in advance of the rest of the team, stretching
and warming up. Still, it's supposed to be a team
sport, and rumors exlst that Ichiro is not the
most team oriented player in the clubhouse. 
A bit of a loner. How true those rumors are
I can only guess.

Spoke to Reggie once in the kingdome, back in the
long past....what an arrogant a'hole he turned out
to be.

thought of lentils, but didn't see them on the shelf
and didn't want to take the time to search them out
in a strange grocery. Everyone loved the chili and 
I froze the leftovers for Amanda...with instructions 
that she could just brown up some hamburger and 
add the stuff to it for a decent meat chili as well.
It'd be pretty beany, but still tasty!

Having a superb time, we'll leave on 
Sunday and arrive back in Tacoma 
sometime on Monday. Have not watched
TV at all, have no idea how we're doing
baseball wise or olympic wise..and not really 
missing it that much right now!
Where we're staying is right on the water.
I got up this morning and looked out at the
foggy shore and watched herons, gulls, 
pelicans (brown AND white!), egrets, 
avocets, and even a couple of seals
go by. Quiet, and remote feeling...
even though the duplex is only 50 
feet from Hwy 1..

-> Speaking of which, maybe it's time for a trip out west
-> to catch a game. Maybe at the way end of the season?
-> I have to be in San Fran 9-26 to 28 anyhow.
