Well Tama Sushi is run by two brothers, who are fully trained 
sushi chefs. Blue Island has young, trained on site "assemblers"
who make the sushi and put them on little plates and put them 
on the conveyor belt. Once you find a suitably good sushi 
spot, it's good to go back often enough so they know you
both by sight and name..you get a slightly better service
when they know you care enough to return!

Try talking that friend into joining us here at the
cyber kitchen as well! We always enjoy new 
folks and there are plenty of seats available 
at the table! 
right now I'm sitting in a small coffee shop
on the coast looking out over the fog 
shrouded Bodega Bay. Thursday night
Anne (my wife), Amanda (our daughter)
and me (myself) went to a place in 
Sebastopol for dinner. Dinner for the 
three of us came to about $250 including
tip! Boy was the food great!! The place is
named the "French Garden"

We had reservations at 6 pm, and 
ate until past 8:30...wow what a meal!
We each had 4 courses, Anne had the
Mozz and tomato salad, followed by
the andaluca gazpacho, (which was
served in a shot glass sort of way),
followed by the chicken entree, and 
chocolate cake for dessert. Amanda
had the Duck pate, gazpacho, duck 
breast, and nougat glace. I had the
antipasti, sweetbreads (YUM), salmon,
and my dessert was the apple gallete. 
We all shared a bit of each of our dishes
with the others (with the exception of 
my salmon..which Anne would not touch!)
Every dish was prepared to perfection, and 
we "rested" between courses and a whole
fleet of attendants would bring out the dishes
and clean the remnants. Not a usual dining 
experience for us, but we have been driving
by this place on all of our visits and finally 
our curiousity got the better of us and we
decided to investigate. Certainly it was worth
the price, the food and service was excellent.
Amanda and I each had a gin and tonic to preface
the meal and some French pinot noir to accompany
it. Michael would most likely have selected several
different wines for the various courses...but one 
glass each lasted Amanda and I the entire meal.
It was a superb wine and a superb meal!
