 > Oh, well... (G)

CS> I finally gave up and skipped forward quite a bit and now am looking
CS> at last 800 or so.

I'm too stubborn... I'll just plod thru until I get caught up... I hate
missing anything. (G) And since the messages are in separate packets,
I can ignore how many I really still have in front of me... <G> Of
course, this* packet I'm wading thru at the moment is bit over a week's
worth (the picnic plus my family's camping), so I can see that I had
about 350 in COOKING alone... and I think it's about 200 in MEMORIES as
well... (And I'm NOT going to think about how many the next week's
packets will be holding in aggregate... I just refuse to!) ;)

CS> moving the furniture in and such. Last bit will be to figure out how
CS> to drop a curtin rod from the ceiling down low enough so my Japan
CS> curtins can be used. I bought lots of them for the cho, thinking to
CS> use them here but they are slightly shorter than what it turns out I
CS> needed as the sunroom bottom is all glass to the floor.

If you have enough stuff on the floor in front of the windows, it could
block the bottom, and you wouldn't need the curtains to reach all the
way down...??

CS> LOL! While typing, Don made a little wood box and set the AC unit in
CS> it. It's just right so the wheels fit in there and the unit has air
CS> room at the sides around it since there's minor venting at the bottom,
CS> this was needed). He made it out of pre-treated 1x6 decking wood.
CS> Now he'd making something to vent the hot air tube out, that we can
CS> easily move out of the way to close the back patio sunroom door and
CS> screen at night. It wont be totally air-tight but close enough for
CS> use. The plastic doohicky that came with it was framed for a standard
CS> small window, not the big ones in the sunroom or the glass patio door
 CS> we are using.

Isn't it nice to have inventive, imaginative (and handy) people
around...? :)

CS> The AC unit BTW looks much like the one Janis had in the livingroom.
CS> Useful little critters. Dunno if her's also is a dehumidifier but she
CS> wouldnt need that up where she is. If her's is, I suspect it drains to
CS> a pot or something. Ours in the box Don made, could be drain-vented
 CS> that way easy too.

Janis probably would need a dehumidifier, some times of the year... NYS
can get pretty humid, too... at least for our taste... I realize that
it can't hold a candle to much of the South, or to Philly, either, for
that matter, at least most of the time. But, I well remember flying
back from a visit to my M-i-l's sister in Idaho, and arriving in
Syracuse to 75 degree weather that was so humid (especially in contrast
to the dry 90+ degree stuff I'd just been in) that I had trouble
breathing in the airport...! Admittedly, it wasn't really as bad as the
humidity I encountered in Columbia, SC... ;) I had thought I could
turn off the car's AC since it was after dark as I approached... THAT
was a definite mistake... and the AC went back on in about 30 seconds.
(grin)..

CS> Oh, shush but I figured out why the ceiling molding didnt hit flush.
CS> He put it up, upside down <g>. Rather than remove it, I'll add some
CS> corner molding to make it fit nice. No rush there. We will possibly
CS> paint the ceiling soon and it would be easier to add that moulding
 CS> afterwards. ;-) xxcarol

Necessity the mother of invention, and all that... (G)
