An emotional lift? You really have to be kidding.

It's irrelevant whether you know. Actually it's cheesier if you
do. You're being quite cavalier in making the distinction of Czech
vs. German, when in places such as Bohemia it's quite blurred.

Imagining that Budweis is Czech is the icing on the cake. Of
course, when the place or at least its terminology was controlled
by Germans, it was Budweis. When Czech, it's Cesky Budejovice.

Who knows or cares about Soviet brewers? Their product was not
in consideration here, first and foremost because it doesn't
apply to the case, and second because it's bad.

We were speaking about the agreement between the Czech and the
American claimants to the name derived from Budvar (Budweis).
I'll admit that it wasn't all that gentlemanly, as I believe
lawyers have been involved, but it didn't have the cupiditous
acrimony that many subsequent similar disputes suffered.

     Title: BANANA CAKE WITH CHOCOLATE CREAM CHEESE ICING

  Servings: 1

    125 g  Butter
    125 g  Sugar- castor
      1    Eggs
    1/2 ts Sp- vanilla essence
      2    Bananas
      1 tb Milk
    1/2 ts Sodium bicarbonate
    200 g  Flour- self-raising
    200 g  Cheese- cream
    100 g  Chocolate- dark
     75 g  Sugar- castor

Preheat oven to 180^C. Line a rectangular 22cm x 8cm cake tin
with baking paper. Grease & set aside.

In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the butter & sugar till
light & creamy. Add the egg & vanilla & whisk to combine. Peel &
mash the banana, add the milk & bicarb, then add to the butter
mix. Stir to combine. Sift the flour & fold through the mix.
Pour into the cake tin & bake for 25 to 35 minutes. Allow to
cool in the tin, then turn out onto a cooling rack.

To make icing; whisk together the cream cheese & sugar till
smooth. Melt the chocolate & fold into the cheese/sugar mix.
Spread over the cooled cake, slice & serve.
