One of the good things is that even if I
don't fill all three bags, they still give me
the 15 cent deduction...maybe it's because
I'm a regular patron. There's one fellow though
(the asst manager) who never gives you the
discount unless you specifically point it out to
him...and then it's done grudgingly.

When he finishes his Phd, he'll be going back to Thailand 
and will work at the university there (in Bangkok) so it's
more likely he'll survive on ramen and the generosity 
of his friends until that time. He's amazed at the cost
of meals here in the USA...he can eat quite well in 
Thailand for about a dollar a meal.
