There is an earth mined sea salt that is natural from Redmond Utah that is
reputed as the "sweet" salt.  It has a different taste and is believed (I
personally have noticed a difference) to not impact blood pressure as much
called Redmond Real Salt ( http://www.realsalt.com ).  There is nothing that
brings out the taste of the Granny Smith Apples quite like this.  It is also
wonderful on my Heirloom tomatoes.

I would give anything to have a healthy Granny Smith apple tree in our home.
Now driving around Louisville there are several parks that have wild apple
trees.  Being that they are on public land I just help my self... else they
just fall off the tree and rot.  They are not the prettiest apples and often
have worms... but I can use them as "cooking" apples and I have made apple
butter from them.

Shoot, I can do one better... we have had red ripe tomatoes in November in
Louisville and picked some nice green ones two weeks from Thanksgiving.  We
are also known for having Snow on derby day (first Saturday in May) and
Tornadoes on New Years day.

I believe winter will be HELL this year... especially with high heating costs.
I have been putting back all year just in case so that I have plenty of food.
