A lot of the echo folks have become at least honorary Italians
and Asians. I suppose that eating a durian makes you at least
one of the latter.

Next time. Maybe we could plan on something for, say, 2011 or
2012. Who's stepping up, btw, for 2009? We were talking someplace
in the southeast, but was anyone tapped to be the pack horse of
the year? Sean maybe?

You'd think they had enough completeness fanatics with OCD
that they'd get around to it.

Completeness fanatics with OCD don't play nice. And when they
work for Microsoft, they don't have to.

I guess living close enough to minimize the effects of the commute
would have cost a huge bundle. Where did you live back then?

And why did Ron have to have an office?

Carrettiera-Style Rotini
Cat: Lazio, pasta, fish, main
Servings: 1 to 3 (that's what it says)

1/3 c extra virgin olive oil
1/2 c chopped onion
1 clove garlic, minced
2 1/2 c sliced fresh mushrooms
3 lg plum tomatoes, peeled, seeded, and chopped
1 cn (6 oz) chunk light tuna in oil, drained
1/4 ts dried oregano
1 lb rotini
1 Tb fresh parsley, chopped

Rotini alla Carrettiera

HEAT oil in large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and
garlic. Saute 2 to 3 min or until onion is tender.

ADD mushrooms and cook 4 min, stirring frequently. Add tomatoes,
tuna, and oregano. Simmer 8 min, stirring occasionally.

COOK pasta according to package directions; drain and return to
pot. Stir tuna mixture into pasta and heat over medium heat
1 to 2 min, stirring frequently. Transfer to serving platter;
sprinkle with parsley.
