That is sometimes the case... but one should be a little careful how one
judges, too...

And in this case, probably it was due primarily or even entirely to
diet... but, they may have had other things also going on, that played
into it.  Admittedly, they could have profited well from some basic
nutritional advice and would have done even better to follow it.  :)  It
would appear that your grandmother is healthier than they, even if she
did need to rest periodically.  Would she have used a cart if it had
been available?
