My sister Charlotte has a big foot (relatively).  I rmember her moaning as a
kid that she couldnt find 'neat' shoes as all the ones in her size were
'adult sorts'.  I think she hit size 9 by the time she was in 8th grade?  No
idea what size her feet are now but bigger I am sure.

At 85F, we turn up the fan <g>.  AC at 90F pretty much to keep it down to
85F.  Before you think we are suffering though, just keep in mind we are
rather heat tolerant.  It's also easier to stay cool if you dont over-cool
the house.  You get used to it fast and then it doesnt feel so hot outside.

Now in winter, we keep the temps down as much as we can (Don's arthritis
means not as low as i'd like for bill reasons).  I turn it down at night to
68 or so and in day we run at about 72.

Yes, I noticed that!  I still havent done anything with the can of clams, but
I got more whipping creame (the unsweet stuff) so can make up a clam chowder.
 I just need to decide what to do with the rest of the clams before I open
the can.  It's a 3lb can that makes 3.5 quarts which is a bit much for us 3. 
Sure, I can go heavier on the clams than the recipe says and reduce the rest
a bit, but I suspect I'll still have about 1 lb of meat to deal with in some
other way.  Not in any rush though as the can will last for ages.

My freezer is largely eaten down now although there's still lots of good
stuff in there.  I double and sometimes triple wrap things so they can last a
very long time with no freezer burn.  I learned to do that in Japan so I
could stock the house before going to sea for 4-5 months.
