I get congested like you do somewhat, and break out in rashes on my arms if I
have too much dairy.. and my guts suffer too (grin).

I can eat yogurt.. that's something (g)... but I generally don't eat too much
dairy at all in the course of a day.  I use a lot of regular Olive Oil, and
EVO.

I don't think goat's milk would bother me either, I've had it at various
times.. Not crazy about it though :)

My grandson seems to have inherited all the food allergies that I passed to his
mom as I've mentioned here before.  For him the only milk he can drink is
Enriched Rice Milk.  We were able to get them a rice and soybean milk 'maker'
though he can't tolerate soy either.

Yes, they are.  I knew my daughter was allergic when she turned 2 1/2 and
couldn't digest any of the food that she'd been eating for the last 2 years.
The doctor had me give her lollypops and Jello for about a week, and then had
me re-introduce all foods one at a time.  That's how we found her allergies..
later, the two of us went for allergy testing, and our earlier 'results' were
confirmed.

===Pickled Mushrooms===
2 pounds mushrooms (small)
1 lemon
3 cups white wine vinegar
3 cups water
1 teaspoon salt
1 onion
8 pepper corns
2 cloves garlic
2 bay leaves
2 whole cloves
1/3 cup olive oil

Fill a large bowl with water and add the salt.  Add the juice of one lemon to
the water.  Rinse the mushroom in the salted water.  Place 3 cups of vinegar
and 3 cups of water in a saucepan with the tablespoon of salt, onion, garlic
and bay leaves and bring to a boil.  Add the mushrooms and continue to boil for
5 minutes.  Drain, remove onion and spices and place the mushrooms in 2
sterilized jars.  Add the peppercorns and cloves to the jars.  Leave one-half
inch head space in the jars.  Fill the jars with fresh wine vinegar, leaving
one-quarterinch head space.  Pour olive oil to overflow, seal and store in cool
dry place.  The mushrooms will be ready in 6 weeks.
