Thanks ... the kid down the street fixed them both, though
the Averatec's status is "I don't trust it, even though it
seems to be behaving." The other one works pretty well, as
it should for many many hundreds of dollars.

I have that, incredibly severely. Smell up and get gassy.

I favor the ones made by Perrigo, one of the larger generic
manufacturers in this country.

Yep ... a second dose of pills works sometimes but not
reliably so.

It's the goaty aspect of goat products that bother me most,
but they do grep me to some degree.

LAVERBREAD GALETTE
cat: Welsh, starter
servings: 6

6 thin 15 - 20 cm pancakes
100 g Pantysgawn goat cheese
20 ml cream
150 g sliced smoked salmon
50 g laverbread
50 g rocket or salad leaves
seasoning

Mix the cream and goat cheese well to a smooth spreading mixture.
Season with pepper. Put one pancake onto a 25 cm plate, and spread
a quarter of the cream evenly over. Top with a quarter of the
smoked salmon and spread with a little laverbread, then top with
a little rocket. Put another pancake on top and repeat until four
layers have been made. Refrigerate for 1 - 2 hr, then cut into
wedges like a cake and serve with a dressed salad with some of
the laverbread salsa as above. Any smoked fish or cooked flaked
fish may be used in this dish. It can be dressed up with a
topping of the cheese decorated with prawns.
