we usually take something like laughing cow
cheese wedges, celery sticks carrot sticks
hummus in a tortilla, or fruit. Also granola 
bars and such are nice.

I've ridden some pretty strange military aircraft...once
I caught a hop from McChord (here in tacoma) to 
Charleston...we stopped in the middle of the night at
Fort Sill Ok and picked up a plane load of army guys
all in full combat gear and packs...I got off the plane
in Charleston, but they flew on to Germany for an
exercise! That was in a big ol starlifter (C-141)
and it was pretty cold in there until all those
warm bodies climbed in!
