Yesterday we took Scuppers to a local off leash dog park, 
it's divided into two sections, one about an acre or two is
for small dogs, and the larger (5 acres or so) with brush and
more trees and such is the "large" dog park...it's very 
popular and when we were there yesterday there 
were probably 60 plus dogs of all breeds in the large
park and maybe another 60 in the small park. 
It's a great experience for dogs and owners alike,
and for the most part everyone is good about 
picking up poop, and keeping the dogs having 
fun, there are a number of tennis balls laying 
all over, and frisbee's and such that have been
chased and chewed and fetched by many.
There's lots of butt sniffing going on and 
"marking" every tree, and bush and strand
of grass that they can find....and doggie tag
and then there's the herding group...my
sister in law's Australian shepard was 
herding a small group of schipperke's!
Lots of different breeds and it's fun to
just walk around and meet all the dogs!
There were two standard schnauzer's there
and a gorgeous giant snauzer as well, who's 
name was Maximus! probably weighed close
to 150, maybe a bit over that!

We keep scuppers on a good mix 
of food and exercise, and he's a 
very trim and athletic pup for sure!
Yesterday at the dog park he was 
a little grey rocket and not many 
of the dogs could keep up with him!
His biggest advantage is that he's
very nimble and can turn SO fast!
He was playing "tag" with a bunch
of bigger dogs (he thinks he's 80
pounds instead of 20!) and when
they'd almost catch him, he'd 
make one of those sharp fast 
turns and leave em behind!(grin)

-> Next best, the bird-bell.  We've all been having fun watching the squirrels

-> Later, he terrorized Cash and Daisy with the hooting motion sensor 'spook'
-> and they still wont go in the garage where he put it away!

Sometimes the simplest gifts are the best!
