We get there pretty often.. I take a number of vitamins and supplements we get
there.. We've been going more often now that we've been picking up the frozen
meats there. Eventually I hope to get the grass-fed meats directly from the
farmers in the area.. but I'm still collecting info about them all.

Understand.

We had Ron's parents living with us for about a year when we were in KY.. then
they decided to go back to NY - They really missed the mountain temps and air
of Sullivan county :) We hired someone to stop in on them every day to make
sure all was ok with them.. that worked for a while. At some point in there,
they decided to move into a nursing home up there.. big mistake :( The place
was about the pits from what we could see. Ron's dad died there, then we took
his mom back home with us to Louisville KY again.. She was going to come back
to NY with us then (our closing for this house was to be in about 3 weeks from
then) when she got pneumonia and died in Louisville.. it was so rough, but at
least we both were with her.

wow :) 4 bedrooms :) Well, I guess when you go to visit you have a nice place
to stay :) My 2nd oldest sister lives near where mom is staying - Lantana
FLA.. and another sister (the one with sewing machine incident haha) lives in
Tampa.. we don't get down there that often, but we've gone a few times..I
really don't do well in that heat <grin>
>> that's costing her a fortune.. My 2nd oldest sister started talking

Reallly :( If we can avoid it, I'd like to. My mom is so quiet too.. probably
the most unintrusive visitor <g>.. She stayed with us for a few months last
year, and it was great to have her here.
>>> think, oh this will be great for such and such <grin>.. Feeds my habit

Sure, makes sense :) When I have some kind of function or whatever to attend,
I usually make what I'm going to wear.. and can zip through stuff then <grin>

Well, all of the children's patterns I've used from kwiksew do use 1/4" seams,
but I'll have to check my jeans pattern.. I'm pretty sure that one used
standard 5/8".
>> at_detail.c fm?pid=3193 - A friend I was working with ages ago

Oh, that's too bad.. :( Well I hope it's returned to you soon.
>> Yeah, but if it's too cold, it's nice and cozy doing it online :)
> Besides, you can leave the computer and stir the sauce if needs be. (G)
Lol :) That's so true!
> A lot of times when I'm working on a major sewing project, I'll have "no

Yes, same here.. or something I can through in the oven and leave unattended
while it cooks.. like the sausage and potatoes recipe.. :)
>> Sure, I can understand that :) Making kids clothes is really such
>> fun.
> And they go so fast!
Yeah, they do - You see progress real fast <g>. I brought my daugher the
overalls I'd made for the baby.. they looked so huge haha.. but he filled them
out so well, it's a good thing I didn't make them smaller :)
>> dark, as well. We've got this one big window in the kitchen over the

Sounds like it.. maybe the builder was thinking the family room would be close
to the kitchen for snacks, drinks, etc..
The lighting in the center-island section of the kitchen over here is not
horrible but it's not great either.. When we get the new lighting in over the
centerisland, I'll be a lot happier :)
>> window once (that would have been nice, darnit <grin>). Anyway, right
> Any chance of putting one in again? You could use it for a mini green
> house.
I'm hoping we can. Ron is really good at making changes like that. Ron knows
I'd love a greenhouse type construct there <g>. We almost put one in upstairs
for my daughter, she was really happy about that idea.. It would have worked
really well since the area gets lots and lots of sun upstairs. Then they
decided to move to Ithaca so we never did start that project :)
>> now I've got some chenille drapes I made on the window, just to keep
>> the cold out.. that window leaks so much cold air all around it :(
> Yes, you do need to keep the cold out, those heating bills are bad.
Especially now :( :(
Take care,
Janis
