I've not read that one but it sounds rather sticky.  Some of my machines
have speed adjusters on them. Others don't and go nothing but fast or
faster, depending on how hard you tromp the foot pedal.  Get your
fingers run over by those needles and end up with mince meat.

I don't mind them used reasonably; that's why I suggested a breath of
them vs a major dumping.  They do go well with pepper, garlic and
mushroom if you want to extend out a few small pieces of steak.

It's one of those things.  To me, the smell of the overflowed hog farm
ponds didn't linger enough to make a complete disavowel of pork
neccessary.  I wouldn't want to have a pork meal within smelling range
of those ponds but to give up pork completly is unneccessary.  I know,
Steve has started to come around in the last few years but it will be a
long time, if ever, that he will relent on the bacon issue.  I can buy
it for dishes that I want to take to pot lucks or whatever but just not
expect him to eat it.  Too bad, as I got some liver the other day and
I'd love to cook it in bacon fat.
