Funny thing is that when I'm barfy I just want to eat regular food,
and then I will it to stay down. Fairly straightforward for me, but
not helpful for normal folks, for whom it all depends on whether you
still like the taste of food (okay, Dave, on the way down). If you're
in dire straits, beef tea and milquetost give plenty of nutrition
while not invoking your average gag response.

We used to use Coke syrup when I was a kid. It's just a big hit
of caffeine and sugar, but for some people it does the trick.

Ginger especially. Garlic is fine except when it repeats on you.

      Title: To Make Beef Tea
 Categories: Penndutch, Soups/stews
      Yield: 1 servings

      1 lb Beef **                             1 c  Water
      1 ts Salt

  ** prime lean beef Put beef through a food grinder using a coarse knife.
  Place in top of double boiler and add the water. Simmer over a very low
  flame about 3-1/2 hours. Add salt. Strain and keep liquid in a cool place.
  If too strong, it may be diluted with some boiling water to strength
