Take a look at the devices included in the laptop ... there may be help
available.

A friend bought a Toshiba Satellite lap warmer with 4 gigs of memory and Vista
Home something. I went over to ooooooh and ahhhhhh - and to turn off some of
the transparent layers that Vista plops in the way of swift operation. Then I
took a look at the devices, went out on Google and located drivers in XP-Pro
for everything on his box. And we blew away the Vista, replacing it with XP-Pro
Ultimate ... a version passed out at a symposium of IT professionals that will
never be shut down until MS ceases supporting XP altogether.   Bv)=

Amazing how much better the XP performs on his machine than the Vista did. Or,
maybe not.

But, look closely at the devices and their model numbers - BelArc Adviser
(freeware) will list them for you. And be SURE that you have located correct
drivers for them. If *ANY* don't have XP drivers available you will have to
keep Pop stuck on Vista.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Swedish Meatballs
 Categories: Classic, Beef, Meatballs
      Yield: 6 servings
 
      1 lb Ground beef
    3/4 c  Bread crumbs;
           +=SOAKED IN=+
    1/2 c  Milk
      1    Egg
      1 ts Kosher salt
    1/4 ts Fresh ground black pepper
      1 sm Onion; grated, drained
    1/2 ts Ground allspice
    1/4 ts Ground nutmeg
      4 tb Butter
  1 1/2 tb Flour
      1 c  Chicken broth
    1/2 c  Sour cream
           Lingonberry or cranberry
           - sauce (opt)
 
  1. Combine the first 8 ingredients. Form the mixture into
  1" balls.
  
  2. Place 3/4 of the butter in a skillet over medium-high
  heat. Brown the meatballs for about 10 minutes.
  
  3. Remove them and most of the fat. Stir the flour and the
  remaining butter into the pan.
  
  4. Add the broth. Simmer until it thickens, about 2 minutes.
  
  5. Strain it with a sieve to remove clumps. Return it to the
  pan.
  
  6. Reduce heat to low; stir in the sour cream.
  
  7. Return the meatballs to the pan for 1 minute. Serve with
  the berry sauce.
