Most places have what amounts to a salad
bar back there where all the ingredients 
are just combined to make whatever 
particular salad is ordered. If they have 
a hard time remembering to put the dressing
on the side (and I've never been to a place
that has) I'd just order the salad with no
dressing and eat it that way...or order some
dressing *after* the salad was at the table.

We have one in the living room and
that's it. It's plenty for us, and I've 
never wanted a TV in the bedroom.

This was back in the early '70's when I was
in college. Money was perpetually tight in
those days, but we managed. 
We loved making presents instead of buying
them, much more personal and the recipients
knew we were thinking of them when we made 
them!

We probably go through less than 4 loaves a year 
these days.
