Entirely possible; Italian food does a lot with eggplant.

Chinese sushi... that just sounds wrong somehow.

Neither set of grandparents cooked Italian here either.

About $35 worth; I handed the last coupon to a friend.  They had closed the
closest restaurant and were about the close the other.  It was use it or
lose it, and I wasn't going to be in the other town soon enough (and it
wasn't worth the gas to get to the other one).  It was my friend's favorite
restaurant, so she took her husband instead.
