At different times I worked doing various things.. I also did a lot of puppet
shows for migrant children in the area ... that was really great to do, the
kids loved it ... it was with those larger muppet-type puppets (grin). They
wear toddler size two clothes, so I had fun making them costumes for various
shows :) Heh.. that was a while ago :) Ron and I had worked up a puppet
ministry in the church where we were going at the time.. I'd done a lot of
theater in college so for me it was kind of natural ... I still have a few of
them but they're "retired" now :)

I know.. I read these articles and find it incredible that so many kids don't
know about farm raised meats, or milk, etc... but it's a different society
they're living in than when we were young, that's for sure. I guess people
like our kids will be at least able to tell their kids about it..

You can dilute it with a little water or with some liquid in the recipe before
using it.. it will mix in better that way.. that's what she's told me, so I do
it (grin). I made an olive oil cake with sucranot for them once, that came out
great.

Just checked.. it was a Sunbeam.. knew it was similar to the Oster center but
not the same (grin).. Same setup as the Oster back then.

>> off to make dinner.. kinda late, guess I'll do something lazy <grin>

> Better late than never. And, simple is as good as gourmet when you're

I made a great lentil loaf last night.. This recipe uses cheese, so I used a
combination of Provelone and Peccorino Romano (I made it maybe 3/4 cup
provelone, and the rest grated Peccorino). I know some people who have done
this one with cheddar cheese though :)

===='nother lentil loaf=========
1 1/2 cups red split lentils
2 cups water
1/4 cup olive oil
1 cup onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic
1 1/2 cups cheese
1/4 cup italian bread crumbs
1/4 cup fresh parsley
1/4 tsp. garlic salt
1/4 tsp. pepper

Cook the lentils covered in the two cups of water for about 25-30 minutes.
Don't drain, but most of the water should be absorbed. Saute the onion and
garlic in the olive oil until lightly browned. Combine the Lentils, onion and
garlic, bread crumbs and cheese and spices and put into a large bread pan.
Roast for 45-60 minutes. It's even better the second day :)

Take care,
Janis
