It was alive and in the bottom tank at the local Asian market? We put it in
our cooler filled with water and they were still swimming when we got home to
do the dastardly deed.

You are right. They do not freeze well or taste very good 2 days from the
water and dead as a doornail.

Naw, he was fine I am sure, but I hurt him worse than was needful while
having that 'the way to hell is paved with good intentions' thing going on.
Simple really. He loved me, I loved him as a friend. I loved him *too* much
as a friend to do the worst thing i could have done to him which was marry
him when he asked when I knew there was no spark nor ever would be one. To
this day I 'want my brother soul' back as a brother but have not heard from
him in 30 years. He's a very successful rich guy now which i knew then he'd
be. Were i cruel, I'd have said yes for his money.

He became what I think, is temporarily suicidal so I called his Mom (wince, I
didnt know what else to do!) so thats where I'll never know if I was wrong or
right. I do know she came right down to make sure he was ok and stayed 3
weeks. I do know he was drunk as a skunk when she got there and so bad she
had to take him to the hospital which didnt release him for 3 days. His Mom
called me back to say he'd be ok and she'd miss having me as a DIL.

I know little more than what google shows (as successful as I could tell he'd
be).

My evil secret is sometimes when finances stress me, I kinda wish I'd taken
him up on the offer as I knew then he'd take care of me all my life and I'd
have been rich. Meantime though, my life has been very rich taking care of
Don.

Good news for Don. His cardio stress test seems to be ok. Had it today and
we get the full results later but preliminary seems to show his heart is more
heathy than most his age (even non-smokers his age).

Hehehe. Too late! No time to ask her (she emails only once a week or so)
but on the off chance, tell me where you are staying in email and i'll shoot
that to her?

More by the culture shift than the language I think?

I can follow that! Also 'Uno tori mit beer und Bok Choy' (a dish of hers
with beer, cornish hen, and stuffed with bok choy and many spices).

Hehe true! One nice little befefit of retiring soon is I have a reason to go
clothes shopping. I have little for the workplace, being never needed it.
