In a water starved area, you would appreciate not having to keep the
grass going.  I'm sure I'd make a small veggie plot but to have the
whole yard grassed is way too much.  Yet we saw it more than you would
think in some parts of AZ.  Those that could afford it, had really lush
lawns.

I think I'd still rather go with the built in. BTW, "it takes away
cabinet space" is one reason my mom didn't put in a dishwasher when she
re did her kitchen 30 some years ago.  Then, too, she's still got stuff
in some of her cabinets that was old (and useless) when I was a kid.

I've seen pictures of them.  They sure couldn't handle the "mess" we
made in the kitchen today; my dishwasher is running it's 2nd load since
5 pm.  Started with Steve making crepes for breakfast.  Then, the church
is having a pot luck tomorrow so I made a Spicy Morroccan Chicken Dish
with couscous for that & a bluebery cobbler for the same.  I'd also had
a small eye of round roast marinading since Wed. for sauerbraten so it
was made up (instead of letting it marinade until Monday).  Steve cut
the meat off the leg of lamb yesterday so today he ground some to make
gyros (which he did); I made tdazyki sauce to go with it.  He also made
up a batch of soy milk.  All but the crepes were done after 1:30,
finishing about 9:30 with supper and a nap (I crashed at about 3 until
about 4:45.) for me in that time as well.  The fridge is stuffed. (G)
I'll post the chicken recipe later (or have Steve do it).

Since we've been here, Steve has been picking up some more civilian
clothes.  Some of them have been bought because they were on sale,
others because I've said "you'll need it after you get out in a bit".
He still could use a few more pairs of good slacks and button down
shirts but he does have a core wardrobe already.
