As did Murdoch originate elsewhere than his apparently
current home.

Exactly. It may be said that he exercised his talents freely
under these circumstances, but the ease that those talents
would have provided when marketed in normal channels was
forever denied him. H'm, sounds familiar.

There's only 1 Lehmann on a Board of 8, and only 1 Lehmann
among the 5 winemakers. According to the annual report, Hess
holds 85% of the PLW stock.

I think there's a bottle or two unaccounted for, and I
hope it went to good use. Did anyone have any luck finding
out what happened to the stock when Ray died?

Yes ... I flew into and out of that airport 14 times in 2008.
The waterfowl do abound in the vicinity, but they tend to
stay clear of the extremely loud and large birds.

Duck and Mushroom Soup
cat: Arkansas, game, soup
servings: 4

1 duck
1 apple
1 stalk celery
1 sm onion, sliced
1 ts salt
1 ts pepper
4 Tb Butter
1 stalk celery, chopped
8 oz Button mushrooms
3 oz Fresh shitake mushrooms
1/2 c wild rice
1 c heavy cream
salt & pepper, to taste

Place duck, apple, celery and onion in large pot. Cover
with water, bring to boil, reduce heat and simmer until
duck is done, about 1 hr.

When duck has cooled enough to handle, remove from bone
and cut into chunks. Set aside.

Strain duck broth and set aside.

Melt butter in heavy pot. Add carrot and celery and
saute until soft. Add mushrooms, wild rice, and broth.
Cover and cook about 45 min until rice is done. Add
duck and heavy cream and simmer another 10 min.
Season to taste with salt and pepper. Serve with a good
crusty bread.
