OK, we've never bought enough at Wegman's to consider having a bagger
help us. If we lived up near one instead of the occaisonal visit when
visiting family, that would probably change. (G)  As is, we will
probably not be commissary shopping while Steve is in school (too far to
go in NC). Don't know about after, depends on where he gets a church &
its nearness to miltary facilties.

It's only fair with the size of the trip I do.  Steve gets paid only
once a month so we try to do the bulk of our trip around that pay
period. We're down to maybe about a dozen (give or take) bags now, as
opposed to about 20 when the girls were home.  But, Steve has been
promoted enough that we can afford to give more in proportion to the
number of bags.  Besides, there's more work to bagging than it looks,
especially if the job is done well.

Probably sewing but do it before the bags begin to really fall apart. It
might be best done right after you buy the bags, just as a
re-enforcement.  But, at times, it may be worth the extra money to buy
the sturdier bag to begin with.

I hear you there.  We've got one designated for Sunday morning for our
Bibles, Sunday School book (we share-G-), etc.  A couple more are hung
with cup hooks in my sewing room holding rulers, gauges, and all sorts
of measuring stuff (one for sewing, one for quilting).  Then I've got a
small bag I made (as a teaching example) that I grab with my "busy work"
for whenever I've got to sit & wait at a doctor's appointment or
otherwise.  It has a couple of stitching projects, a cross word puzzle
book and usually whatever book I'm reading.  My favorite quilt shop has
a canvas bag that is used in conjunction with their sales.  If I bring
it when there's not a sale but I need to get supplies, I get a free fat
quarter of fabric (18"x22").  We've got a whole bunch of other bags as
well. (G)

They would probably hold up better; you might want to buy just one and
give it a try.  If you like it, just buy one or two more on each trip &
before long, you'll have a set of new, sturdy bags.  Look them over and
hit up any obvious weak spots when you get them home.

Oh yes, I've also got a burlap bag with a zipper that UDD made and gave
me about 10 years ago when we stopped off with some computer supplies.
It had a zuchinni and (I think) a few other goodies in it.  It's also in
my sewing room.
