Also, that takes out the gas lines to the oven and requires significant
repiping of water for laundry.

Thats true.  You'd have to see the place to understand the room is boxed in
pretty tight to it's size.  The only 'easy' way to grow is into the living
room.  Not optimal.

Too cold!  We have possibly the last cold spell now.  20's tonight.  Cash
even has a jacket for when he has to go pee ;-)

Unlike you, I've only one experience with other than rental in town (and the
house we bought).  Military housing simply wasnt available except for 3 years
of my time in Sasebo (actually, closer to 4).  There, there wasnt any choice
in which I got, it was 'take it or leave it' and folks took units without
even seeing them as you often had only same day to accept.  In our case, I
was at sea so came back in port and Don had to take me to our new place after
doing the move alone.

Hate to tell ya but the girls today dont know what rollers are (grin).  In
her case, she hates a hair dryer worse than the cat.

Hehehe she's girly enough compared to her friends.  Still holding that last
'I'm a kid' level but not that strong.
