Nah, I knew that it wasn't/isn't necessary.  We've been working on our kitchen
since we bought this house 5 or 6 years ago (g).  It just happened that we
found that bargain of a range this month at Loews that fit right in with our
planned centerisland :)  We still have a bit to go, and naturally would like to
get as much of it done as possible, as soon as possible (smile).

What a great recipe this is.. I'll have to send it to my daughter, they'll LOVE
it :)   Here's one I came up with for them:

===Vegan Chicken Flavor  Rice and Vermicelli spaghetti===

This recipe is so good, you'll want to serve it to your non-vegetarian guests.

4 servings

1 1/2 cups uncooked long grain rice 1 cup uncooked, broken up vermicelli
spaghetti 3 1/2 cups vegan chicken broth
1/2 cup parsley, chopped
1 Tablespoon olive oil
1 teaspoon salt


Heat olive oil in a 10 inch skillet.  Add the vermicelli pieces and saute until
golden (about 5 minutes). Add the rice and saute until glistening.

Stir in the broth, the parsley and the salt.  Cover tightly. Simmer about 10
minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed.

If you've got some gluten chicken steaks, you can cut one up into 2-inch pieces
and stir it in before adding the broth.
