Hehe I'm not that bad.  I'm the one who makes a 30 second call.  You'd hear
me say 'Don, Check the freezer and call me back with how much flour I got. 
They have a sale.  Love ya honey (click).  Bit later, ring ring, Carol, Ya
got 2 bags whole wheat and no white.  Love ya, bye'.  We arent much into
phone chatting.  Just quick calls for something.

Wink, I even pay attention to what's around me when doing it and pull off out
of the way of others.

            
Oh, figured out what to do with the pork and other things.  The pork is
marinading in one of our unique 'look in the cabinet and toss something
likely in the bowl then mix and marinade'.  I havent measured these in
*years*.  I can guess though?

1/4 cup spiced vinigar (a hot sort but not super hot)
1/4 cup Hoisin sauce
1/4 cup oyster sauce
1/3 cup BBQ sauce (a slightly sweet)
1/4 cup 'hot sweet chile sauce' (Mae Ploy, rest of the bottle)
Wortershire (pea and perrins, I will get no other), 2 TB?
1 TS 'rooster sauce'
Then Don added garlic salt and black pepper.

Next picnic, if MLoo is tired of spicing the pork, I'll happily oblige.  My
marinades tend to be less 'sweet' than his but good just the same.

Going through the crisper, I had some veggies that needed to be cooked up so
made another 'ratatoolie-like' thingamabob.

1 can (16 oz) spicy V8
16 OZ can 'red gold' crushed tomatoes
1 large asian eggplant (about 2 cups once chopped, skin on)
2 green bell peppers (bad spots removed)
4 garlic cloves

Thats perking along now and i will add more to it once it simmers up a bit.

The rice pot (yes, got a new one, couldnt find the right cord for the old but
still have it incase we do see one) is burbling with short grain sweet sushi
rice and i have riceball mix and vinegar for later.

Several dates are soaking in hot water to stretch my last 3 apples into a
pie.  Think something like dutch apple crumb types with brown sugar, butter,
a thick pastry on bottom and a crumbly brown sugar top.  Kinda sweet for us
but i wanted to try out that sweet potato idea again in a new way.
