I have seen those.  I had an electric plastic perc for a while, and it
worked, but by the time it had finished doing its thing, the aroma was
in the kitchen rather than the coffee.

My Melita is a 12 (small) cup Aromaline.  If I am only making 3 or 4
cups they initially come out a bit too cool, but I can always zap them
for a few seconds in the nuker.  The important part is that the
maximum flavour is there.
