The Coleman looks like a gas-fired Mr. Coffee and costs around U$50. My
Wearever drip coffee maker (http://tinyurl.com/coffee2pot for a similar item)
cost me under ten bucks w/shipping. Mine has a bakelite handle on the top part
as well as on the bottom. You boil the water in a separate vessel and pour it
into the top part. It then runs over the coffee in the middle (no paper filter
required) into the bottom pot. Darned near as quick as an electric pot. Good
coffee.

MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.06
 
      Title: Penne W/Leeks & Bacon
 Categories: Pasta, Pork, Cheese, Vegetables
      Yield: 5 servings
 
      4 md Leeks (1¼ lb total; white
           - and pale green parts only)
           - halved lengthwise, then
           - cut across in 1/4" slices
    1/2 lb Bacon; cut crosswise in 1/4"
           - strips
      1 tb Unsalted butter
  1 1/4 c  Half-and-half
    1/2 oz Grated Parmigiano-Reggiano
      1 lb Penne
 
  Easy, rustic, and hearty, this smoky pasta creation is simply
  delicious.
  
  • Wash leek slices in a bowl of cold water, agitating them, then lift
  out and pat dry.
  
  • Cook bacon in a 12-inch heavy skillet over medium heat, stirring
  frequently, until starting to crisp, about 8 minutes. Pour off fat
  from skillet, then add butter and leeks to bacon in skillet and cook
  over medium heat, stirring frequently, until leeks are softened,
  about 6 minutes. Add half-and-half and gently simmer until slightly
  thickened, about 3 minutes. Stir in cheese and ¼ tsp each of salt and
  pepper.
  
  • Meanwhile, cook penne in a pasta pot of well-salted boiling water
  until just al dente. Reserve 1 cup pasta-cooking water, then drain
  pasta and add to sauce in skillet, tossing to coat. Thin with some of
  reserved cooking water if desired.
