Yes, that's what my daughter did as well.. it was a great way to pick a kitty
for sure.. she really got to know the kitty before she brought Tiger home
...and Tiger did turn out to be such a great kitty for her family :)

Yes, I agree.. it's what we will probably do.  I understand from talking to my
daughter that Binghamton actually has a "house of cats" Lol... the Humane
Society has actually donated an entire building to them .. they have totally
taken over this one building and she says it is absolutely wild to go in there
:)

===Asparagus Paprikish===
1 bunch Asparagus
1 cup half and half or heavy cream   (though I use 2% milk (g))
3 Tablespoons butter
3 Tablespoons flour
salt to taste
1 tablespoon paprika
1/2 Tablespoon Worchestershire sauce 1 cup shredded yellow sharp cheese

Trim the Asparagus by breaking off the bottom segment (the tough end).,
snapping if off each stalk of asparagus. Place the asparagus stalks in a tall
steamer upright, or if you don't have one that will fit, you can use the top
and bottom of a double-boiler.  Just put some water (about an inch or so) in
the bottom of the double boiler, stand the asparagus upright in the pan, and
use the bowl portion as the top of the "steamer". Cook the asparagus until
tender, about 10 minutes. In a 10 inch saucepan, melt the butter over low heat.
 Add the flour and stir until combined. Don't let the mixture brown. Stir
in the heavy cream a little at a time, and mix with a wire whisk until smooth.
Don't let the cream and butter boil.  Stir in the paprika, the salt, the
worchestershire sauce and stir until a good sauce consistency is reached. Place
the asparagus stalks on a oven-proof platter that you can put in the broiler,
and pour the sauce over all.  Cover this with the shredded cheese and broil
until the cheese starts to melt.
