=====================
Hi Peter,

PC> Hi Ruth and all from the other page ... this might become a book
 PC> <g>.

Keep it up & you'll be #1 on Dale's monthly statistics list.

PC> I don't know..maybe also the food. so really simple and nice. Easy
PC> to make at home, and actually better for my problems.

RH> Can you tell us more about it? Most of us enjoy cooking/eating avery
 RH> international assortment of foods.

PC> The last time I was in here, I was raving about the food I got down
PC> there that fit the specialist's lists of NO and YES.

And if it was things you enjoyed eating, so much the better.

PC> I had the plant that is the father to the potatoe < potato > and sat
PC> there amazing them all as I took it apart with a fork to look at it.

Curiosity killed the cat but satisfaction brought it back. A lot of us
like to try & figure out what's in a dish as we're eating it. Steve and
I did it with gooulash soup when we had it in Germany. I found a cook
book with a recipe for it and saw that we'd gotten most everything but
some of the spicing. I'll have to post the recipe after we get
resettled; right now, all our household goods are en route to Wake
Forest, North Carolina. Hopefully we will reunite with them on May 1 or
shortly after.

PC> Joke here: They could of sold Native fries to the colonists.

Like selling ice to the Eskimoes?

PC> Then lots of strange fruits, and well my mother-in-laws garden was
PC> my place to take pictures and video tape, and even late at night
PC> the "dame of the night" blooming. In the daytime this flower
 PC> is closed tight.

I've seen that; one of our friends where we used to live in NC (before
Steve went into the Army) had one of those plants.

PC> Wish I could tell you...I like as a veggie this green thing <g>
PC> shaped like a fist...so nice and well can not find here.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, without more of a description, I can't come up with
any suggestion as to what it might be.

PC> All I know Ruth, is they all agreed, that I get back on the plane
 PC> and go there....stay there.

So do you have your one way ticket yet? (G)

PC> as when that show is on, they remove pain for that hour.

RH> As long as you don't laugh yourself into an asthma attack as I've done
RH> a few times. But yes, laughter is a Very good therapy.

PC> I will try not too..but when I do it is uncontrolled and rolling on
PC> the floor and I even have tears after laughing for whatever reason.

PC> YES... it helps a lot.

You may encounter some times like that while reading this echo.

RH> I'm not into many other echos; the sewing and crafting ones died out.
RH> This is a very "kicked back" echo; I think you will enjoy sticking
 RH> around.

PC> As for other echos, well gave up in one, and mostlikely there will be
PC> more. This one has always been good to us, and we have been invited
PC> to the echo picnic which was really appreciated by Maria and myself
PC> to which I hope the organizers can appreciate this feeling.

The picnic is open to all on the echo. We were able to go to the last 2
but probably won't be able to make this year's. A new car right at
retirement time was an expense we'd not planned on but neither Steve nor
I felt confident the problem we were having with the one we had would
ever be resolved. It made us feel very uncomfortable with that car so
we felt the best thing to do would be to get rid of it.

PC> I wish the sewing and crafting had stayed, as Maria is into sewing and
PC> knitting, and we have many wool things...NO I have not been to the
PC> local field to get the raw wool off the fencing...wish I could, as
PC> when I lived in Scotland and parts of England we had this, and I can
PC> remember in my youth holding my hands while the thread was created
 PC> from raw wool.

I can't knit but my mom used to. I don't have too many wool things
because we've lived in warmer climates but my favorite ones are a loden
coat I got in Germany and a full length cape that I made myself about 33
years ago.

PC> OK Ruth ...we are at an end... Thank you, to you and Carol and
PC> everyone. Over the years the silent reading and comments
PC> in there, we have gained some very good friends, we hope oneday
PC> to see at this picnic.

I'm glad you came out of the lurking mode--it lets us get to know you
better and how we can help your dietary needs.

PC> Maybe I can do it, as we swing by Brazil, Indiana where my wife
 PC> made me go....hahahahaha...

Like us, if we went thru Cuba, NY?

Catch you later,
Ruth
