Nope, those go directly to the "Bigs" without
having to spend any time riding a team bus.
Still there are many college players who have
developed enough skills that they only seem
to need one or two seasons at the AAA level
to get them ready.

Glory is so fleeting, but I'll take it
when it comes!! (grin) A great 
exciting game last night against
the tigers of Detroit...our fireballer
agin their'n...theirs hurled 99mph
flamers and ours had superb control
of all his pitches...they leapt out
to a 3 zip lead...but we came back
and whupped 'em 6-3 in a tough 
game. Anne was there, with 1500
other teachers...and she got to meet
Edgar Martinez and get his autograph...
I do think she was having palpitations!
(grin). Had a Chippewa family with an
85 year old mother who was a hoot, and 
an Aussie family from Sydney who had
an 82 year old matriarch who was a 
very lively and excited fan of the game.

Just bless your stars that you're
not a Yank fan...on the TV this 
morning (one of the sports 
channels) they were citing the
highest seat prices in the new 
yank stadium are over $2600/game!!!!
Boston was up there but second 
place went to the new mets seats
and they were less than 1/3 the 
price of the Yanks! 
 
-> I remember getting free tix to a game once and taking
-> my friend Eric, and he embarrassed me by looking at
-> Jim Rice's crotch pretty much most of the game, making
-> lascivious comments throughout. Those seats now go for

So I'm guessing when the Bo-sox
come west we'll have even MORE 
rowdy Boston fans filling the park.
The families I enjoy...the 20 something
male "chest beaters" I could do without.
Still if they wanna spend $100 on 
beer at the park to be so drunk they
miss the game, I'll be happy to have 
security escort them out. Had one 
Angel's fan this week who was so
blotto by the 3rd inning that I had 
to have him escorted out for his own
safety...the 300 level is not the 
best place to stagger around.

I've had little time to look at mine, i'm 
working all the games this month and

Looks good but too many
carbs for me to make right 
now. Wonder how it'd do 
with Splenda?

-> 1 1/2 lb pork shoulder (bnls)
-> 1 Tb rice wine
-> 2 Tb sugar
-> 1/2 Tb salt
-> 1 Tb soy sauce
-> 1 Tb hoisin sauce

-> Cut pork into 2" wide strips; marinate in remaining ingredients.

-> Let soak for 1 hr. (that's what the recipe says - I'd say
-> overnight). Bake 20 min in preheated 500F oven.
